John Cleves Symmes

[John M. Krafft]

Right here in Hamilton, OH, Symmes's tomb--topped with a large
hollow (marble?) sphere that doesn't look much like a hollow
earth, but OK, we get it--is a public monument in the middle of
town. Anyone who makes a pilgrimage is welcome to visit me too.
