Thomas Edison made silent films of the Eskimo exhibition (THE
ESQUIMAUX VILLAGE ) at the Pan-American Exposition in 1901. The
films can be viewed at: <http://memory.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query>
If that doesn't work go to <http://memory.loc.gov/ammem/index.html>
and type
thomas Edison eskimo
in the search box. Five items will appear on the next page, three
are Edison's films. There are no films of the Columbian Exposition
because the movie projector was not invented yet.
<http://www.ric.edu/rpotter/eskimoes.html> Posters for 'Esquimaux'
on display.
