ATDTDA Assessment of Pacing

For whatever it's worth, a few listers have contacted me offlist regarding the pacing, which they feel is going a bit too rapidly for the breadth of material to be covered, annotated, digested, discussed, not to mention savored and enjoyed over the week. So before we plunge any further into the next page, let me ask for general impressions regarding the pacing thus far.
Should we pause at pg. 31 for a bit and catch-up on discussion (and annotations, for me) for the first 30 pages or so for, oh, say another week before moving on? What say you folks?
It's easily done, and the host list is easily adjusted to accomodate a few pauses to catch our breath. Plus it'll give me (at least) a few more days to clean up an annotation job that Dave started beautifully and I quickly botched into a choppy mess, at any rate.
The bottom line: I think most (if not all) of us come here because we enjoy Pynchon and find a certain amount of relaxation and entertainment in this goofy forum. It should be fun, not work. Yes, many of us have read the whole book already and this is a second read, but it should be a rewarding experience, is all. Can the pacing be adjusted to make it so for most/all of us?
Feel free to contact me or bitch me out offlist, if necessary.
Tim
