Strikingly, I had just read some really long Jehovahs W type of page,
in which "vegetation" appeared where KJV has herb. Can't find it, but..

Genesis
 3:18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee;
 and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;

 4:2 And she again bare his brother Abel.
 And Abel was a keeper of sheep,
 but Cain was a tiller of the ground.
 4:3 And in process of time it came to pass,

Google vegetation eat genesis:
Humans and Animals were originally Created to eat Only Plants
... Adam, Eve and all the animals were created to eat only vegetation
