Rushdie goes historical

Jaipur, Jan 21 (IANS) The new novel of internationally acclaimed 
British-Indian author and novelist Salman Rushdie would be a historical one, 
set in the 16th century that talks about the Mughal dynasty and draws 
comparison to its Italian counterpart.

"The book should hit the bookstores sometimes next year," Rushdie, while 
addressing a press conference here Sunday, said.
