The motivation seems pretty obvious, and has nothing to do with naysaying:
Rather, Keith is trying to engage p-listers into a bout of yeasaying, and
he's actually in a morally tenable position to do so, since he's probably
been the most active ATDTDAer this past month (so that comparison with
Terrance is quite unfair). I tried to do the same thing a couple-three
months back (after having been one of the most active ATDTDAers in the early
ATDTDA), and it even worked for a couple of weeks, but then things more or
less went back to normal (and my motivation to put an effort into the whole
thing more or less evaporated).
Anyway, Keith is right: the ATDTDA is more or less dead in the water. We can
leave it as it is, and hope that things will somehow take care of
themselves, or we can try to do something about it. My suggestion, as it was
back in April, would be to double the speed, with one week per hosting
session.
