...a little accretion:

Frank in Mexico - Chums in New York

Frank in Mexico in Prison, in the desert with the other Stray,
on cactus, and achieving 1/2 of his revenge

The Chums living in Central Park, extrapolating from
a delivery boy's side remark to a trip on a "time machine"
requiring help from the kid underworld, and leading into
their deeper involvement with time travel

Frank and Ewball experiencing the mysteries of Mexican
justice, an annoying parrot, speculation on double names,
Ewball demonstrating extreme marksmanship,
a psychedelic trip, an abortive chance at love for Frank,
the shootout.

The Chums narrator again produces some whizbang
accents, references to class struggle appear in boys'
fiction, Darby and Chick exhibit sartorial splendor,
there's another silly song, Pynchon once again depicts
an uncomfortably young girl as an object of sexual attraction,
Dr Zoot's time machine takes Darby and Chick on a trip,
Chick's legal prowess intimidates Zoot into revealing
his source for the time machine, and the name of
Alonzo Meatman comes up for the first time...
