I'm getting my PHD in the Subversive Use Of The Comma in the Works of Thomas Pynchon and I think I see a pattern.

Humble apology for the disaster of that image HTML all over my initial post.
I'm not sure that I even know how many of the little buggers can dance on
the head of a pen (Pun!)...

I, like so many PeeHeads, grabbed onto Vineland like a Lifeline when it came
out. Who would have thought that I'd look back on the '80s with affection?
But enough about Current affairs:

Questions;:...
1. Did I address this post properly?
2. Will I be punished for my ghastly HTML Blunder?
3. Is my Humour Humorous?
4. Hmmm?

My humble Additions to your Vineland list; things I loved (damn
semi-colon!), in no rational order,:
1. The ukulele,
2. Godzilla,
3. PR3 (People's Republic..., Ec.),
4. 24 fps,
5. Prairie,
6. Beer-riders,
7. The Wayvones,
8. Takeshi/DL Chastain,
9. Brock Vond,
10. Ec....

My Observations:
The whole book could be seen as a 'Shaggy Dog Story', i.e., Desmond at the
beginning and end...
The book's joyful Paranoia...
The book's JIVE...
The book's happy ending...
On and on...
I find Vineland to be valuable, fun, a-and a very valid link to what went
before; V, '49, GR, and what was to come, M&D, and ATD, in The TP Canon of
wondrous works...

Respectfully,
The CommaKid
