LE Snowcrash

Well.. I've thoroughly enjoyed them all. Just read the 3rd Baroque
Cycle book last week, and with pleasure. Thought the 2nd flagged a
little, but not enough to mar enjoyment.
But comparing with Pynchon is not like with like. AtD took me 4
months to finish; The System of the World, a day and a half.
There's lots of amusement with history, history of science and
language. A couple of rip-roaring plot lines, but not a whole lot of
layering or depth.
re Snow Crash: - like Neuromancer (or in another world, 100 Years of
Solitude), it's been so influential on what's come after, that reading
it now has nothing like the impact that it did on publication. What
was exciting and interesting than has become cliche.
