Hello
I'm here. I don't feel like I'm in the league of most of the posters, so I
stay back a bit. I have been edumecatin' myself with Jason Colavito's HP
Lovecraft and the Cult of Alien Gods. I find the list really clogged,
hundreds a day, including postings that don't have to do with the things
I'm interested in the text, what with bits about Nellie whoever and French
theory. So the amount of time it takes me to read, delete and weed through
this kind of stuff leaves little time for me to post. I think Pynchon is a
rare, living American prophet and I love ATD but I sometimes loose track of
the setting and what the motives are and who the people even are, and what
are they doing? So if I were to post I bet it would be like, completely
wrong! Ha! I could try to do a part of a part of a section. If anyone
thinks they would like an idiot sidekick on a section, I could try.. I'm on
about page 900 in real life, and I am listening to Dick Hill read on the
correct location where y'all are in the ATDDTA.
Jill

Terrance hasn't shown up, and the usually omniscent Tim Strzechowski
appears to be on haitus. The assigment list for AtDTDA follows. Here's
my question. Who's on board? (as I say this, in typical Frank Capra
fashion, I unabashedly raise my hand). Who's gonna continue this
trek on through Shambalah? Do we need a break? Do we need new
blood? Should I go back to quilting bees? Is it really all about Paul
Nightingale's superb work? Is Keith (who did a really fine turn and
was the other half of 209-239) right in saying that the previous patch
was comparetively barren? Is there some allegorical point in that
barrenness, or is it just a bad patch? How does this all apply to
Dwight Eddins concepts concerning Gnosticism in Pynchon? What
do you make of the notion of coupling Revelation and Illumination
to Explosions in GR & AtD? Who do I have to blow to get a drink in
this dump?
