Well I just reread Vineland and the news is still bad...

I used 'superior' figuratively here, meaning 'more challenging'. M&D for me 
is more challenging linguistically than GR. I am still in the middle of an 
ongoing project called 'Those M&D words'.  OF COURSE the fact that M&D 
contains more obscure words than GR doesn't make M&D superior to it.
