[307:40] "Puckpool's"

In 1994, Adrien Mamet was playing Carrom with his friends when he
realised how addictive this game really was. He met a lot of people
who had seen the game overseas and did not know where they could play
it in Australia.

A couple of his friends who worked in pubs remarked that "it would be
a great game in pubs - too bad it's not coin-operated". After some
discussions with his father Charles, he realised there was a huge
market waiting to be tapped. The game was indeed perfectly suited to
the pub scene because of its compact size, novelty and addictive
gameplay.

The reaction of many managers who saw the game was very positive and
the idea of having this new game in their establishment appealed,
provided that the games were coin-operated. Since Carrom cannot be
played on coin-operated tables due to the complexity of its rules, a
solution had to be found. That solution was Australian Rules Carrom

Or as we prefer to call it, "Puckpool". Same board, different rules.

There were no suitable mechanisms available on the market, so Adrien
enlisted the help of his father, and together they set to work
developing their own. This started them on a 12-year mission, which
has resulted in the first and only Carrom mechanism on the market today.

After an enormous amount of research and long hours of hard work,
this competitive, exciting, exhilarating, fun and refreshing game is
finally ready in a format that makes it easy to play and even easier
for venue owners to manage.

Today Puckpool tables are fully coin operated, 100% reliable,
attractive and very compact. Puckpool Australia Pty Ltd is proud to
be an Australian company with a 100% Australian-made product.
