Atdtda[4] 103.4 Nature's revenge - a maddened elk

Elk is a common word.  The BPOE, or Elks, is a long-time fraternal organization in the US that sort of has the whiff of smalltown conservatism.  Not hard to imagine the BPOE being maddened by new-fangled electricity.
