There's a general lack of the uncanny, not to mention
the menacing, threatening, et al., and the pacing's
generally ... leisurely (as it would be) throughout,
but it's a beautiful, even touching, in the end, film
nonetheless, hearkens bnack to The Elephant Man in
that reagrd, up to and including its use of starry
skies, a few cinematographic tricks, e.g., at at least
one point, sound is heard "normally" in a close shot,
but as f from a distnce in a cut to a far shot ...
