Since you're talking about jokes, I had thought to write
earlier, that I didn't get this one in Dave Monroe's reply,
looking for some body of writing after the introduction.

Seeing none, I thought it might be a premature emission.
Another e-mail would surely come apologizing for a slip.
I saved it anyway, but regarded it as empty, meaningless.

Three or four hours later, I went out to smoke, and I
could feel myself broadly grinning as if finally hit me.
My tantric filter was off after writing on serious math.

But Dave Monroe's was sharp! I already wondered before:
Has anybody ever met this Dave Monroe person in person?
Might Dave Monroe be a Pynchon pseudonym on this list?
