A joke with a slow fuse

not to be that guy who explains things and
takes the fun out of them, but...

you know that scene in "The Sure Thing" (Daphne
Zuniga, John Cusack) where his roommate is
composing a letter to Penthouse?
A classic opening phrase for those letters
is "I never thought I'd be writing to you, but..."

So after the discussion on porn being equated
to calculus, or vice versa, in GR - somebody was
asking about Delta-T (Ya Sam?) and several people,
including Glenn, responded with more or less technical 
descriptions of Delta-T.  Glenn's post had a self-
referential statement to the effect that it
was more or less "straight" math (contrasted to
the sexual/apocalyptic interpretations he often
supplies) - and it was to that that Dave was
winkingly replying (while also alluding to the
original discussion on "does calculus really = porn")

At least, that's what I _think_ was funny there...
