dude!  come and live with us in Kansas City, Kansas!  You can have any room you're willing to clean and fix up.  I got the plumbing fixed over Thanksgiving, and my friend Jerry's girlfriend's friend is about to take 8 of our cats, leaving us with a manageable 2 (and a fresher smelling house)  You can have the whole attic for your books.  Not so very far from where you are, is it??? - in fact, we're sort of on the outskirts of the Chicargoland sprawl - sort of...

but anyway, if for some inconceivable reason you don't end up moving out here, I think the rest of the p-list would join me in wishing you a speedy and pleasant resolution to your domiciliary trials
