I get that henderson book going, i'm going to start
answering some questions here, I think. One thing I
particularly appreciate about both Pynchon and The
List is, they always justify in the end my most
ridiculous book purchases. Cf. ...

I actually just happen to have stuff like this ...
Though I suspect Henderson'll prove a Source here ...

One is always writing about Now, regardless of if one
is writing history or science fiction ...

That's the other peculiar obsession this time 'round.
But as far as bilocation 'n' history go, Pynchon has
always asked, at least, allochronological,
parahistorical, alternate-historical questions ...
"This is America, you live in it, you let it happen.
Let it unfurl." (Lot 49, Ch. 6, p. 150)
"Could he have been the fork in the road America never
took, the singular point she jumped the wrong way
from?" (GR, Pt. III, p. 556)
"'No matter where in it we go, shall we find all
the World Tyrants and Slaves? America was the one
place we shoud not have found them.'" (M&D, Ch. 71,
pp. 692-3)

Okay, hope I'm making up for a-participation ...
