Gmail has its advantages and disadvantages (it's not
always obvious, to me, at any rate, when i have new
messages, but, then again, i get a LOT of messages, so
...), but, unlike, say, Yahoo!, it displays messages
by subject heading, not in chronological order (see
above), which is often ideal here.  If anyone needs a
Gmail "invitation," let me know ...
