        gravid? grave=solemn? engraved?
Google define:gravid yields only one meaning ten times over:
A pregnant female livebearer or female who is ready to lay eggs.

        Let me suggest Hamlet!

A first look at Ulyssees finds Buck for Stephen (for Joyce)
saying the same thing about Hamlet as I posted before here,
well, more or less, just skewed for fictional use:
BTW, they too inhabit a tower.

What is your idea of Hamlet? Haines asked Stephen.
... It's quite simple. He proves by algebra that
Hamlet's grandson is Shakespeare's grandfather and
that he himself is the ghost of his own father.

Mentions of Hamlet in tailing of Joyce Ulysses surf, by frequency:

Specifically, I said Hamlet is the case of abject man, like me,
triggered by discovering autofellatio long after an originary
wet-dream-in-navel; Causing "Coming in the name of the Father";
and a recognition that one is one's own father, which displaces
one's original biological begetor to, say, Uncle (as Claudius),
yet a bad one, whom one must kill to get mom (Oedipal ideation).

On this arcane idea hinges all religion and great classic poets.

Even the females: Emily Dickinson said, ~ My bows are snaps,
I am blown to powder; Like my atom-bomb psychosis ideation.

Here it is in again in The Fisher King:

Its protagonist is named Perceval, who is described as the Son of the Widow
Lady'. This appellation is, in itself, both significant and intriguing. It had
long been employed by certain of the dualist and Gnostic heresies -sometimes for
their own prophets, sometimes for Jesus himself.

Later still he learns that he himself is of the "Grail family', and that the
mysterious "Fisher King', who was "sustained' by the Grail, was in fact his own
uncle.

We have John, called Boanerges, the son of thunder.

We have JHVH, thunder god and/or volcano god;
Opposed/Joined? to ATON the luminous sun god.
And confused further with BAAL the storm god.

These are discrimination I have not fully solved;
Likely they are many divergences from the potential
Lamb's path, at any of the seven seal events/tests,
as could turn a potential Christ into a Baalam type.

Again, it is the Osiris / Uncle Horus struggle.

We have all the noted "bird poets", because autofellatio
forms the "gnasher" (eagle/vulture) with two wings (orag
labia) as appears in Revelation: the woman who begat the
man-child was given two wings of a great eagle, to fly into
the wilderness... to be fed "ek prosopo" (KJV: from the face,
or perhaps better, away from the presence of?) the dragon.

Because Web and Reef meet upon the tower/phallus, I would
say that they represent the pre-autofellatio father-of-self,
and post-autofellatio, post-metanoia/metamorphosis son-of-self.

Therefore, Web would be to Reef like Hamlet's ghost-father,
rather than like his biological father, displaced as Uncle.

The Governor/Satan might be the original biological father.

I get this from correlating my own life events to Revelation,
wherein first autofellatio was the 4-th, or Thyatria letter.
The implication of an evil father suggests infant fellatio,
although it may be rather just intrinisic fact of his being
the original, now alternate, hence conflicting father.

In Thyatrira, that father would rule the nations (son) with
"a rod of iron", like I was raised in obsequious lawfulness.

Lost URL:
He was not the favorite of his father and may even have been shunned by his
family in the early years. He not only appears to be the proverbial "ugly
duckling" but something of a unwanted black-sheep shunted from place to place.
Revisionist historian Immanuel Velikovsky, who is pretty sure that Akhenaton had
an incestuous relationship with his own mother, writes of the matter in his book
Oedipus

It is also the "spirit of adoption" that allows Jesus to
become his own son, hence his own father, hence a monad,
hence the first, hence from the beginning, hence God.

Adoption is a powerful feature in ATD, with...
Oh, I forgot Web's killer's name. Then with Vibe.

What else? It's 2 AM and I'm forgetting much else to say.

Nietzsche stuck the corpse Zarathustra carried in a tree.

Again, you might want to try my freeware web research tool.
It's looking up, but I still have much to do before it will
query any search engine. I use it to read your longer posts
