reading in the dark (215:7)

dual existence, both in Socorro and the Pole (215:12-13)

seeing the Chumps in the sky (15-23)

The whole Jeshimon section, and its aftermath as Reef heads out to  
Telluride are very dreamlike, almost like the whole thing could be a  
nochecita-consciousness vision, a reverie in Reef's mind rather than  
a 'real' event. He's in a twilight state, half awake/half asleep,  
imprisoned in Socorro/on top of the world.
