I actually find your read convincing as well. I post as if what I'm  
saying is something I really believe just for the economy of  
communication. I find at least half of my associations rather  
stretchy, but I enjoy them, hope a few others enjoy them, and they do  
a pretty good job of sparking a bit of discussion.

"Co-consciousness" is a repeated theme in AtD.  On my first read
through the book I just let it flow and don't try to analyze much,
unless some sort of insight just leaps out at me (usally happens when
I'm reading Pynchon stoned).
