"A Person in mystical robes appliqued with
        astrological and alchemical symbols, and
a bowl haircut with short fringes." 221. 1/2

I have a visual reference work entitled "The Illustrated Beast" that has another
early photo of Crowley, when he had a bowl haircut with short fringes.

"Neville and Nigel, allowing for some chemical
exaggeration, tell us they saw you emerge out
of an explosion. The question that arises is,
where were you just before. 221. 3/6

Relativistically speaking, where the hell/when the hell are we? Remember the
A.E. Waite/Pamela Coleman Smith Tarot Deck?

The subject of this short essay is to compare a few cards
from the earliest known Tarot deck (Pamela-A 1909) with
the best selling commercial deck (US Games 1970). The
question at hand is how different US Games' deck is from
        the original.

While one possibility is that the T.W.I.T.s have insider access, another is
that we are in some alternate universe. Whatever we have, it's not 1900
from the history books.

"Lew squinted. . . . " so the conversation further elaborates the concept
of wandering through time, travelling through alternative universes.

"Lateral world-sets, other parts of the Creation,
lie all around us, each with its crossover points
or gates of transfer from one to another, and they
can be anywhere really. . . .An unscheduled
Explosion, introduced into the accustomed flow of
the day, may easily open, now and then, passages
        To elsewhere. . . ." 221. 10/14

Speaking of explosions. . . .

Jack Parsons died on June 17, 1952 in an explosion
of fulminate of mercury at his home laboratory which
is generally regarded as accidental — he stored
many volatile chemicals and compounds in the lab.
Though gravely injured, he survived the explosion,
only to die of his wounds hours later. Unsubstantiated
rumors have suggested that Parsons' death might not
have been accidental. A rumor that keeps circulating
[citation needed] was that Parsons was trying to
create a homonculus based on Aleister Crowley's
notes. Supposedly, Crowley's books on spells and
rituals are rife with "alchemical" booby traps.
        Considering Parsons' scientific expertise, it's
considered suspicious[citation needed] that he would
make such a careless mistake of mixing mercury with
another compound known to be explosive.
Distraught, Parsons's mother killed herself not long
        after he died.
The Parsons crater on the far side of the Moon has
        been named after him.

"You found passage between the Worlds" 221. 18/19

"Between the Worlds" is where magic(k) happens.

"Yet mightn't they and others like them be considered
agencies of the angelic?" 221. 21/22

. . . .to be continued, an "agency of the angelic" has just informed me
that my computer time for this morning must come to a stop. Later. . . .
