Which directors do you peeps think actually *do* have things in common with
Pyncho?

- Gilliam for his fantastic worlds and dark screwball humor?
- Altman for the enormous casts of characters? or shit what about early
Linklater, like Slacker-era?
- Pasolini has the deviant sexuality I guess
- Keaton or Chaplin for the slapstick?
- Fellini's stuff seems to have some sort of spiritual likeness (cf.
conclusion of 8 1/2; hell, the whole thing), but his films are a little to
self-concerned

WAIT; how about Jodorowsky??  That's my choice right now.  Hallucinatory
craziness, inscrutability, deep layers mythic references, and I think
there's some humor in his stuff, no?  I've laughed during El Topo
