Here is wmothing read over the weekend in a Jewish Society book of Commentary on Genesis:
Genesis is an emotional, moral history, not a literal one (fer sure).
Reminded me of Against the Day!.

I suspect what you mean is "biblical inerrantist" or "biblical literalist," which
many people conflate with "Christian." Your instincts are probably correct
that there are few fundamentalist Christians who enjoy Pynchon or participate
on Pynchon-L. (By the way, it is quite possible for liberal Christians to be
zealous and daily believers, even if the late Jerry Falwell would have consigned
us all to Hell without a second thought.)
I don't remember a lot of discussion of Pynchon and Christianity over the years;
perhaps an archives search would surface the points that have been covered
before.
