<<big angels appearing over a battlefield in, what was it, WWI or WWII?
and mentioned in GR - subjective reality shared by enough people that
for somebody who wasn't there to define an objective reality that
doesn't validate the experience of those present involves a value
judgement I'm not prepared to make... just the very names, Ouspensky &
Blavatsky...give me a
Zippy-the-Pinhead type of rapture like Blake, they created systems,
possibly self-consistent (and therefore, by Goedel, not all-inclusive,
or vice versa) -- and possibly, given lexical imprecision, able to be
mapped to each other and even to other either partial or inconsistent
(or both) maps purporting to "explain it all", such as the Bible, the
scientific method (one of the best, but not completely immune to
misapplication) or postmodernism...>> and much more.

Doesn't it strike you that if "big angels" appeared over a battlefield
it would be one of the momentous moments in human history? And yet you
don't know even which war it was in which it supposedly occurred. That
should tell you something about the credibility of the incident. I,
for one, never heard of it, but that might be because I don't read the
right books.

Madame Blavatsky was a fraud. Ouspensky was an obvious crackpot; or,
to be more fair, he was one of a number of people who became enamored
of the silly, pseudo-scientific system of Gurdjieff. Today it would be
intelligent design. And mentioning the calculus or Kurt Goedel or
Newton in among these people, or with the Rosicrucians, or as in some
way comparable to the the "wisdom" of the Urantia book ... Newton may
have found the book of Revelation worthy of study, but that says
nothing other than Newton was one of the great minds of western culture
who happened also to be interested in the book of Revelation. It
doesn't make Revelations less ridiculous as other than overblown poetry.

<<and speaking of evolution, the concept of Evolution merges with the
Kabalistic Angel known as Metatron ...>>

Well that may or may not be true, but it would certainly have come as
news to Darwin.
