I realize that the goings on in this thread have veered far to port, and that I
probably  helped o'er much in that steering. Please let me note, I'm still 
interested in what Christian Believers or Jewish believers or Muslims or 
Buddhists or believers in the Great Purple Bunny have to say, passages they
can cite in Pynchon's work, that refer to their systems of belief. I want to
know where there are specific citations from whatever holy book might apply.
I promise not to call you crazy, no matter how far out of line your thoughts 
may be from mine. Consensus Reality is a crapshoot, not fixed. Even the 
stars are not fixed in their orbits, and the fact that they seem to be set 
in their orbits only shows just how limited our view is of the paths they must
ultimately track.
