correction, speculation

I kept saying the Angel of Mons appeared in GR, but apparently
had conflated that angel with the angel of Lubeck, which is
(as far as I cared to search) a Pynchon invention.

(tempting to abstract the property of flight - and the ability
to take in landscapes in a map way as discussed here recently -
associate it with the superhuman, and then de-abstract it into a person with
wings -maybe that's how the canonical image of angels arose?)
