Al Gore is so much cooler to me now.

It's from GR's "proverbs for paranoids":
"If they can get you asking the wrong questions, they don't have to worry
about answers."

It's the second hit for "al gore charlie rose" on Google Video.
About forty-four minutes in, he quotes TRP as saying "if you can get them to
ask the right questions you don't have to worry about getting the right
answers." I'm not familiar with the quote, probably in a part of GR that I
haven't read. It also appears to be a very loose attribution rather than a
direct quotation.
It's a great interview. Love seeing someone so prominently in the public eye
talking about the clear need for reason in our modern-day political process,
and in the general way that we discuss social issues.
I don't agree with all of his positions from 2000, and think he's a bit
conservative for my taste... but I'd vote for him in a second in 2008.
Nobody else on the public stage even comes close in my book.

anyone catch al gore mentioning TRP in his interview this week with
Charlie Rose? I did a search through my 3129 unread messages from the
mailing list and no mention of gore. or al gore for that matter - no
wonder I don't read these messages - not enough gore! I'll just go back
to watching TV now.
