An Appeal: Free M&D Resource Disappearing

But I am so cheered to see that the relevant issues of Philosophical Transactions will remain freely available. It's too bad that the Royal Society will start charging fees because their scans are so much better (some of the ILEJs are tough to read), because they have a much more expansive collection, and because they have links to single articles (rather than to hundred page + journals).

I previously found this page on JSTOR, but when the Search and the Browse pages failed, I assumed that JSTOR was planning on adding this material but had not got around to it yet. I checked with a librarian and discovered that my school does not subscribe to this part of JSTOR.
 
Also - I noticed that Google appears to be slowly and haphazardly scanning volumes of the Phil. Trans.: http://books.google.com/books?q=editions:05tQU98X_Rl5-ulr&id=VYQFAAAAQAAJ and http://books.google.com/books?q=editions:0HAayXm2kmAKdiIEZPvbvOg&id=Pm4OAAAAIAAJ
