Wealth is so relative. But yes the family probably didn't have to
live in subsidized housing set aside for the folks who did the work
around town.
The Oyster Bay Pynchons might not have had a lot of money relative to
their namesakes out in Newport but they raised the most famous Pynchon
of them all.
Guess that wouldn't change the color of their blood to blue however.
The really bluest of the blue bloods probably aren't very famous at
all. This tend just to be known to each other.
