. . . .once killed a 'bar', before he was three. . . .

          against.the.dave:

          Theobald Wolfe Tone
          Wolf Tone
          Also ...
          Winsome, Gouveneur ("Roony") (b. 1923)
          Mickey Rooney

[to the 'Davy Crockett tune:]

"Roony! Roony Winsome, king of the decca-dance!"

but how about the scene in _On the Road_ (Kerouac)
where they listen to Slim Gaillard
"to Slim, the whole world that night
          was one big O'Rooney"

And a vouty and a o-scoot-o-rooney with a little hot sauce on the side,
that ought to fix it.

I'd recommend the 'Proper box, "Properbox 62" "Laughing in Rhythm", about
5 hours of pure Slim [with either Slam or Bam] for little more than a sawbuck.
Tell 'em necessity sent ya.

FWIW, I've heard from a Harpisichord maven that the weird intervals in certain
non-tempered keyboard tunings result in pitch weirdnesses also called
wolftones. And then there's the Irish Band:
