General Boulanger, who committed suicide on one of Belgium's most 
beautiful cemetaries, in Ixelles, Brussels.  The guy is considered now 
as one of the forefathers of fascism --which sheds a rather different 
light on the CoC; compare to the nasty literary trick Jonathan Littell 
played with the reader in his Les Bienveillantes (is it already 
translated into English, is really a fantastic novel).

However, there are the 'timbres fictifs' on 548.9, or fake stamps with 
the General's 'likeness'.  Pynchon and fake stamps?  Hmm.
