The Borgias always come to mind for me in these cases, but ... but,
let's face it, there are qualitative differences involved here. At
any rate, no one can plead ignorance here regarding the potential for
controversy involved. And it's not helping matters that the museum
founder denies any need to recognize this. Plus there's the matter of
the unclear provenance of some of the works. And those works
undoubtedly take on a different feel once you know what precisely they
depict, under what circumstances they were created, and so forth. As
does just about anything, but ... well, I haven't managed to get there
yet (but hoping to skip out early to do so today), but i will say from
experience, once came across a shelf of WWII military hats, and that
SS cap had a nigh unto palpable aura of evil about it (we apparently
ahve one of teh few intact, unaltered uniforms around, so ...) ...
