You're right, the journey is the thing!  Didn't mean to make it sound like 
we just need to get this read over with ... just hoping that if folks see a 
light at the end of the tunnel, well ... volunteerism will increase, maybe? 
Dunno.

And me, I'd *love* to see some of the ladies on the P-list host a few of the 
latter sections.  Pynchon does some wonderful things with his female 
characters in the later chapters, elevating them to much more than objects 
of Four Corners whimsy, and a female perspective on the closing 150-200 
pages or so would make for some great discussion, imho.
