The "Wall of Death" is such a seductive term, with so much potential
in so many directions. In particular, the fossilized remains of a
demonstration of new mathmatical language in concrete descriptive
terms. This reminds me of the junkyard full of defective time time
travel vehicles, piling up in rusted heaps just outside of Candlebow U.

The "Wall of Death", being such a seductive phrase, naturally---just
like the anticipatory picnic held inside the town's namesake---offers
up other uses:

            . . . .

The wall of death (also known as the Braveheart) is
a form of moshing seen at hardcore, punk rock,
metalcore, and Heavy Metal concerts, in which the
audience divides into two sections, with a gap of at
least 10 meters between them. The two groups then
run into each other at high speed, in a rather
            violent fashion.

This form of moshing has hit the news because of
numerous injuries, including reports of the death of
a German metal fan, later found to be unrelated.
The wall of death may have been created by hardcore
            band Sick Of It All.

Wall of Death by Richard Thompson

One of the fun things about this song is that it positively
outrages quick-to-judge grownups when they hear children
(or anyone) singing so cheerfully about possibly throwing
their lives away on the Wall of Death. When you listen
carefully, though, you realize that the song is actually about
riding a roller-coaster. Extremely catchy tune, also.

Let me ride on the wall of death one more time
Let me ride on the wall of death one more time
You can waste your time on the other rides
But this is the nearest to being alive
Oh let me take my chances on the wall of death

You can go with the crazy people in the crooked house
You can fly away on the rocket or spin in the mouse
The tunnel of love might amuse you
And Noah's Ark might confuse you
But let me take my chances on the wall of death

            On the wall of death
All the world is far from me
            On the wall of death
It's the nearest to being free

You're going nowhere when you ride on the carousel
            And maybe you're strong
But what's the good of ringing a bell
The switchback will make you crazy
            Beware of the bearded lady
Oh let me take my chances on the wall of death

Let me ride on the wall of death one more time

Let me ride on the wall of death one more time
You can waste your time on the other rides
But this is the nearest to being alive
Oh let me take my chances on the wall of death
Oh let me take my chances on the wall of death
Oh let me take my chances on the wall of death
