Lit crit is more in academic rather than Public libraries, I'd have to say.
I'd also have to chime in a "fuck yeah" to Kai for sending that chewey post
that took this thread to a new level. Rest assured you have readers. The
reason public libraries are weak in at lit crit is because librarians, even
those with nice budgets, are generally obligated to purchase things that
circulate at a high rate. Lit crit doesn't circ.

Most places I've used it don't even charge me
sometimes I've had the librarian actually buy the book instead,
saying they use the ILL requests as suggestions for purchasing
-- noting in passing that Deleuze isn't over-represented
in any library I've browsed here in the US ---
