p. 843, the national songs are of exile, not "home"!.....poignantly Pynchonian.
  longing for home like refugees everywhere....2oth Century, century of longiong for home?
   
  The out-of-town businessmen were related by action to the Young Turks.
   
  p. 844..."dervish boy" : The word Dervish, especially in European languages, refers to members of Sufi Muslim ascetic religious Tarika, known for their extreme poverty and austerity, similar to mendicant friars.
