The real human revelation, as if a Cosmic Revelation, is summed up in the Ian & Sylvia song
and TRP's review of Marquez using it, on the front page of the New York Times Book Review in 1988, (I think.) I'd link to it here but it has been sent around more than once and is infinitely findable.

No Big singled-up abstract Love only as many kinds of love as forms of Brahma worshipped by the Hindu....love is infinitely specific, not Generalized (as in many religions and thinkers and movements)...........a wide, wide range......(to bring in another of AtD's themes, imho.....the range, the wide range, the huge variety that there should be in life.......but usually isn't)

This deep drumbeat as espressed helps us see all of the sometimes-unusual "relationships"
  in AtD, yes?....

  See Brahma at wikipedia:
"There are various stories in Hindu mythology that talk of the curse that has prevented Brahma from being worshipped on Earth".
