854 "once it had a name, it seemed impossible they could ever blow it up"....a kind
of Genesis spin on the Stockholm Syndrome?  Just as Adam naming creatures gave them a kind of identity, once they have named--as parents do?---cannot kill?
it takes dehumanization, demonization, to blow such things up?
