Pynchons Over Andover

I am implying only that we consider the possibilities that this David
Pynchon is/was a relative with an interestingly correlative profession,
and/or that there are a greater number of Pynchons than we recon and that
many of them may prove to be unrelated or at least not closely related to
TRP.

Though my last name is from a word for "music," I've only heard of one
Musikar, Musiker, or even a Muzikant family that is unrelated, so what about
Pynchons? It's probably been told before, but I've never read anything on
the origins of the Pynchon surname.
