NP; Colonoscopy

While anecdotes are risky things, a close family member recently had a
malignant growth discovered through a routine colonoscopy -- a lousy
situation, to be sure, but right now we're grateful for the procedure.

There is a 1/7000 chance of perforation or other potentially deadly mistake.
