why should China have sovereignty?  It isn't China, it's a different land.
It's like the "Macedonian Question" isn't it - all these
people who should mind their own business -
squabbling over something that isn't there to begin with

and so much imperialism -
everybody knows taking over other countries is a shitty thing to do,
-- that's how governments sell armies to their people,
as "defense" from being taken over --
the economy as a whole suffers, individuals are plunged into misery,
lies proliferate, the currency is devalued, the ceremony
of innocence is drowned!
How is it that so many people are involved in such enterprises?
(our bandleader, Mr. Pugh, in grade school drilled us on an answer
for our screwups - "stupid, I guess")

he really does seem to be a spiritual leader, not a
rabble-rouser; I had been gradually becoming inclined
toward a boycott myself as talk escalates, but I'd hate
to miss the gymnastics -- best sport in the world imho
