A trade paperback of HER SMOKE ROSE UP FOREVER is still in print from
Tachyon Publications; you can find it on Amazon for less than $12. It's a
career compendium, basically a greatest-hits package.
It's a pity more of her stories, plus her two novels, aren't generally
available. Much of her work still feels fresh and vital. She was one of the
key science-fiction writers who was most at home in short form -- other
important ones include Theodore Sturgeon and Harlan Ellison. For whatever
reason, it's hard to get many people interested in buying a volume of short
stories.
