I know, I know...I'm nuts. But bear with me and listen to this:

Before the announcement of Inherent Vice, I had made the decision to do a
five page a day re-reading of Against the Day starting January First.  Today
I was wondering if I would be finished with ATD before the new one was
available to me, which according to all reports will be August 4th.  So I
took the number of pages in the book, 1085 and divided it by five, getting
217. Anyone care to guess what the 217th day of 2009 is?  Yep! It's August
4th.

Coincidence???  Is there any such thing...
