why does that "Lew" bring to mind Lew Wasserman--the famed movie
mogul, head of Universal studios, and the guy folks blame for the
eventual cineplex mindset of current day Hollywood

there is this thread of the birth of the movies in the Basnight/LA
section near the end of ATD--a mere 50 yrs for movies to turn to shit?

wasserman (water man) evokes quite nicely chinatown's story involving
municipal corruption and the emergence of LA, too

if not, chalk up to kute korrespondence on my part
