Heh. Yeah, but y'know, I've never really given Rushdie's work a chance, but.... the cover of that book reminds us, he's the author of 'The Ground Beneath Her Feet', research for which, I recall, saw Rushdie trying to learn about Rock n Roll by hanging around with, er, U2. If he can get *that* so disastrously wrong, well....
Anyway, I meant an illustrated book, for much younger kids, like 3-5 year olds. Yes I know a lot of stuff would have to be censored, but you caould make a really fun book out of it which mught lead the little tykes to investigate the full-strength Pynchon when the got a bit older...

Perhaps, but note that Salman Rushdie cooked up a wonderfuly
adult children's book around the same time that Pynchon was
working on Vineland---Haroun and the Sea of Stories:
