Thomas Pynchon Surfs Internet for Cover Art

The only interesting newness is that the painter did the background
"set" painting, and then his partner incorporated a scanned photo of a
scale model car.  It's just one more level of not-art.  Although that
tidbit seems unsubstantiated also, not mentioned on the artist's
website.
