Hey Paul,
When you open a new message in gmail, you'll see at the end of the
various formatting options, the text "<< Plaint Text".
Click that to make the message plain text. That's all there is to it.
Of course, I now post this at the risk of furthering my reputation as
a list-nanny/nazi, a blockwart and a purifier, but I guess I'll just
have to live with that & accept the judgment of history ;)
