Kevin Kelly has written a series of interesting and well-received books, plus his work with Wired magazine back in that fertile early '90's time and place - Multimedia Gulch in San Francsico, where we were turning the Web into a viable communications medium (among other efforts back in that day:  http://MorphsOutpostOnTheDigitalFrontier.com, for example), and he continues to hold a respected place in cyberspace.  He's pointing to a paper written by somebody else.
